What he said....

Babble on.

Environmentalists. What is their deal? They managed to take an issue that everyone is on board with --a clean place to live-- and turn it into the most divise issue since abortion.
- John at OPFOR

I find myself saying words to that effect every single time I get into a 'climate change' discussion: I'm all for reducing pollutants in our environment, for preserving wild spaces and biodiversity, and for reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. I'm just upset at how the 'climate change' crowd has hijacked the environmental movement.

Nice to see I'm not alone.

Babble off.

The current environmental movement is a textbook example of how a group of single issue zealots can take over an organization(s) that have a set of reasonable goals and turn it into a revolutionary, repressive, mob of radical propogandists.
In spite of mounting evidence to contradict these raving Eco-Nazis, they have grabbed onto something that gives some purpose to their vacuous existance and they mean to push it to the bitter end.
The green movement is now in the hands of the same idiots who storm the barricades to protest the free enterprise system and all western values. And the truly disheartening thing about it all is the fact that they have co-opted our brain enfeebled politicians into accepting this nonsense.

The point is, my friend, is that the Kyoto crowd exhibits all the indicators of being a religious cult.
